"Make money off it that some Indian should be making."

Every time I see someone say, want, claim or wail about that I think two things:

    1. KiowaKat.
    2. Someone who is afraid to compete in an open marketplace.

It's that sort of thought which holds back ALL Native people.

As for endangering Indians, are you talking about things like running sweat lodges where people die?

Sure, there are those who believe things like an individual has a reasonable expectation of safety in such a situation. That's cool and we can argue about how much responsibility lies with the provider.

But if you believe you are going to DIE, and you take no personal action to prevent that?

Folks need to look into the mirror, too. Failure to do so isn't because someone else was "playing Indian."

    This is a BIG problem.

Native beaders put photos on Facebook to sell their items, quite often with tribal or family designs.

Next thing you see is the same items "MADE IN CHINA" being sold EVERYWHRE to include POWOWS.

Uh, then don't put presumably private designs into public media?

      There are two choices:

      1. Make a highly superior product, priced accordingly.
      2. Make a competing product, priced accordingly.

But don't expect folks to pay big $$$ for something that isn't demonstratively superior or avoid something at a lessor price if it is the least bit similar.

FILL THE NEED, don't demand a tariff or protectorate system to generate false equivalence.
