Today the Tribal Council of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians ordered armed guards to block traditional Creek Indians including members of the Poarch Band and Hickory Ground Tribal Town from entering the sacred ceremonial ground where their ancestors were excavated without their permission or consent in violation of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act and the American Indian Religious Freedom Act.
