Kucinich pledges to heal Indian Country's wounds
Monday, January 12, 2004
Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich met with Arvol Looking Horse, the 19th Generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Pipe, on Sunday.
If elected president, Kucinich said he would try to mend the relationship between the U.S. and Native Americans. He spoke at a diversity celebration in Des Moines, Iowa, held before a Democratic debate with the candidates.
Looking Horse didn't appear to endorse Kucinich, a Congressman from Ohio, according to news reports.
