Yeah I noticed how much friendlier people are up there with welcomings into the families. I tell rich sometimes I kinda feel outta place, cuz it's just a whole different city. Like my city is big here and it's more violence. Everyone down here is into rap and that other stuff so when I go up there it's just so different, ya don't gotta worry about geting shot or your car hijacked while your in it. So I'm thinking bout moving the kids up there. I finally met some more of rich's family up there after three years. Geez bout time. The massage thing is on. Next time we are gonna be up there is in august. :Chatter With my potawatomi massaging hands! :rofl2: JK
azhe'ni...shaa, don't feel out of place, you're probably just as crazy and funny as the rest of 'em up here :p *LOL*
Say boozhoo to Rich and can't wait to meet you and the babies. Them babies are our blood relatives, so they got to be just gorgeous .. ayyyye .. I know they are beautiful already. Hey, have yourself great day and looking forward to August. :D
Rich said hi. I don't feel outta place with the family. It's just the city. Yeah the babies are gooding looking like me :Chatter :49: LOL. Anywayz everyone what happened to that white lady hummingrose. I wuz having fun.

So I finally convinced my mom to let me learn the culture. She is even going to take some regalia-making classes with me too but I'm going into pow wow dancing classes alone.
My question here... how do I calm my nerves and what should I expect? I do struggle with identity issues as I'm...

Not being from The South (born and raised in Wisconsin) I am wondering if the feelings of alienation and discrimination that I am experiencing in school are common to all ndns in college or is a purely a Southern thing. I have learned that something...
