Are you jealous over burberrilish cuz she's pretty and she is showing her face meaning she is proud of who she is and stands up for what she believes in. Where's your face? Hidden of course. Seems like all you wannabes hide from real ndns. Aren't you questioning ours? Seems to me that you are lost with yours is that why you come to take ours?? Honestly would you say that face to face with everyone on here? Probably not.

Only people with "red" (you know what I mean) blood flowing through their veins know about this gift.

I know this through stories that were told to me from my grandparents. I know this through having to fight alongside my uncle to draw attention to the sub standard living conditions on our rez. I know this from looking in the mirror everyday and almost being blinded from the glaring reflection from the grease on my face.

You will never understand what it is like to be Native. So you can come on here and entertain us with your tales of animal guides or making a fancy shawl skirt out of leather but remember, what you say is empty rhetoric and simply a demonstartion of wasted keystrokes...your opinion is about as valid as a Skins drivers license

    Did someone say Klik?

    .....

LMAO so i can understand!! whatever kiddo! LOL I understand perfectly from your notorious comments. :o i don't even think YOU UNDERSTAND yourself that not ALLL NATIVES LIVE ON "AMERICAN SOIL" the reservations extend up into canada as well. But being that you barely found out you were native through a "hummingbird" i doubt you would know that much :)

I just think you need to step down and sit back and listen to yourself and re-read all your posts to see where all us natives are coming from. People like you, that are FULL WHITE and find out are native till years later CANNOT JUST BE *POOFED* into being a native over night by the damn native fairy!! Pssshh get real!!! I think you've been watching too many videos of peter pan and dances with wolves! You will always be biligaana..so just accept who you truly are and quit trying to be one of us! :)

As for my "heritage".. I KNOW where I come from, I was born into it, it surrounds me in my daily life, but that you would not be able to understand. So if you want to have a discussion about riverdancing or the electric slide, by all means go ahead and discuss your heritage. :) Have a great day!! :D

    And another thing....

:36: Hummingrose...about that post regarding family heirlooms...that is HORRID! I once bought and paid for a set of men's regalia that dated back to the early 1900's....paid 2200.00 for it, tracked it traced it and found the family it belonged to and DROVE to the reservation, found the family and gave it BACK! And I would do it again tomorrow to stop that sort of crap! Regalia is passed down, gifted to another and remains with the "family" not sold!

    :33:

    Hello,

I do this topic to show you who I really am.
Lots of people here don’t know me, that’s why they don’t understand me, so after having ridden these few lines, you can judge me rightly.

    A Question For Non-Native People...
...who dance in Regalia or want to.

There are many threads here at powwows.com about non-Native people who are wanting to dance or have regalia, or who do this already. There are 2 currant threads on this issue.

I am currently a junior in college in Tennessee. Not being from The South (born and raised in Wisconsin) I am wondering if the feelings of alienation and discrimination that I am experiencing in school are common to all ndns in college or is a purely a Southern thing.
