  • 9-11 is NOT the worse act of Terrorism on American Soil

    ______

It is real popular to justify American troops in Iraq and Afganistan by saying their military presence is stopping the spread of terrorism. But, history is actually repeating itself with the same sensationalism that spawned the early American newpapers.

I am kind of fed up over the propaganda:

"THE ACTS THAT OCCURED DURING 9-11 ARE THE WORSE ACTS OF TERRORISM TO EVER OCCUR ON AMERICAN SOIL."

    Don't get me wrong.

My heart goes out to the dead, their families and those who's lives are forever affected by the 9-11 events.

    But,

how come America has never acknowledged the "AMERICAN HOLOCOST" where millions of Indian people were murdered in this country by terrorists??????

This IS "THE WORSE ACT OF TERROSISM TO OCCUR ON AMERICAN SOIL!" because it's millions vs. thousands - or are Indian people's lives not as valuable as other Americans?

Depending on the source, there was an estimated 10 to 40 million inhabitants living in North America at the time of European contact.

By 1900, the population of combined Indian, First Nations and Alaska Native peoples was less than 250 thousand, leaving whole tribes and cultures (too numerous to list) EXTINCT!

    How did they die?

Millions of them died by "Institutionalized Genocide," which included "calculated murder by both European and American Governments." The intentional spread of diseased blankets to be traded to Indian nations did the most devastation. These blankets were then traded further and further into the heart of Indian country. In them were the foreign diseases small pox, measles, typhoid, cholera, diphtheria, TB and VD.

But then lets not forget the uncalculable incidents where indigenous peoples were killed for sport or for their property. Isn't this terrorism?

What do I think? Well, my mom Comchocldy just ordered us some cool shirts with Geronimo and his men bearing arms. The caption reads: Fighting terrorism since 1492.

    'nuff said?

The United States has a short memory. She only remembers when she's the victim and not the perpetrator.

PS, wonder if I'll get in trouble wearing my shirt on casual Friday!!! Okay, I won't because school teachers are supposed to be apolitical. Yeah, right.

Testy person here don't you think Homalosa? But with the lol ending maybe she's just looking for laughs. And not once have I come across any negativity from Homalosa. Most likely, I've been the culprit with the negative comments but either way Homalosa, I'll stick by your side because you're like family.

Testy she is and in need of some history lessons. I'll never say 9/11 wasn't horrific. My mom is a United flight attendant and lost friends on both those planes. She flew the DC route the month before and was a phone call from flying it that morning. But the fact of the matter is we are here in the US and not tribal boundaries because someone thought it was their MANIFEST DESTINY to conquer Turtle Island. Perhaps Carmel Apple has never read Custer and Jackson's belief "the only good Indian is a dead one."

The fact of the matter is, that my African ancestors are here because the US thought we were only good for picking cotton.

                  But anway, no worries.

Oh, and looking for a link to the tee shirt site.

                        9/11

                        My 2 cents

My whole take is a little bit different, I flew flight 175 during the month of August and knew 6 of the attendants and 1 of the pilots.

There were numerous warnings both from french intelligence, the FBI, the CIA and plane and ordinary airline people like me. There was more than 1 report of wierd behavior by male passengers that were totally ignored.

Even the actor James Woods who flies Lax to Boston (his home) on a regular basis made a report along with other flight attendants from flight 175. The FAA said thank you very much and did no follow-up until 9/12! Put all these red flags together....in my personal opinion.....they let it happen. I really don't believe they realized it would be quite as devastating...but they KNEW something was going to happen. The historical records show they knew Pearl Harbor was going to happen and they let it.. to justify droping the A bomb in Japan. Is too far fectched to think they use the same tactic?

Since 9/11 there have been military escorts of commercial aircraft...who are prepared to shoot us down and we know that.
Since 9/11 young white people get paid $30,000 per year plus benefits as TSA security for what young Latinos, Blacks and others received $8.00 an hour & no benefits to do.
Since 9/11 Sky Marshals get $70,000 to ride in style, if a flight attendant is taking hostage.. their instructions are ..shoot the flight attendant and we know that.
Since 9/11 nothing much else has changed except everybody in government is making money off it.

The fact that most americans are so self consumed and selfish they don't know what's going on around them still makes us the most vunerable country in the world.

I wore my "Homeland Security" t-shirt to work for casual Friday last year and while the other case managers thought it was great, administration didn't think so, said it was "incinderary" and "racist", so the next casual Friday I wore my "Fighting Whites" t-shirt. Oh, and I still have my job can you believe?

However I do NOT Agree with this post stated below

First of all, Homalosa's post was nothing near being negative, in fact it was somewhat enlightening. If you do believe that 9/11 was the most atrocious attack on american soil, then believe what you will. You're equipped with nothing but an assimilated mindset. First Nations people throughout Turtle Island have been fighting against such vehement negative actions and scurrility since European contact. If you can not understand that, then what is the point of you reading Native News and Issues if you can not do such a thing with a more open mind, and more so, if you can not easily comprehend what is being stated. I suggest you do some reading on the REAL history of Turtle Island, not the chocolate covered bullsh*t they feed you in texts written by non-native peoples :36:

                            Just my 2 cents:p
