9-11 is NOT the worse act of Terrorism on American Soil

Some people's kids I tell ya. Well, since I am not one to sugar coat my response--here goes...

Caramel apple. Have you ever heard the quote "It's better to remain silent and allow people to believe you are an idiot than to open your mouth and prove them right?". Well, you have without a doubt, confirmed this theory.

For someone to come up in here and insult a women of great intelligence is nothing but a two bit hater. If you weren't so ignorant and, I am sure it's safe to say, uneducated you would have appreciated her words of wisdom instead of acting a fool and reminding everyone how idiotic people could be.

Considering the difference in intellectual levels between Homes and Apps, I would advise the latter, in terms of hierarchy, she should be on her hands on kness bowing down to Homes--thanking her for blessing her life with some unbiased knowledge that is damn hard to come by these days.

OUR grandfathers have fighting terrorism Since 1492 not to include my nations history of 1640 of settlements in indain country. So when the whites have a problem with 9/11 yes i feel for them. Many natives passed on that day and thats the only reason i feel for them. They have an idea of what it felt to be scared, the feeling that our grandparents felt. BUt i dont think that they( white society ) will understand. So yes there has been worse terroism on "American soil" in my view, thats when they first arrived and tired to kill off our traditions and beliefs as Native people. They tired but did not succeed.

I just wanted to say thank you to Quicksilverwade, Jibby,Eyes, Ndnbutterfly and of course my mom. Mom taught me long ago to never let ignorance hurt me. Still one can't help but feel good when folks say such nice things about you. I don't know what's going on here on pws.com. There's some folks who seem to want to get a rise out of us by attacking folks. We don't let that stop us though. Let's continue to spread our knowledge!

I think that if Homalosa was always being negative somebody would've chewed her out a LONG TIME AGO and she wouldn't have 707 posts. Go figure :dontknow: But we all know what was the worst act of terrorism, and it's just the white eyes that don't want to see the truth, just their own pity. Why? Because they are selfish and only want people to see the bad things that happen to them. Don't get me wrong in any way, I don't believe that anyone has the right to take someone else's life away, But why is it that elementary schools only teach us about the genocides in Europe, and Anti-Semitism, and the horrendous things that happened to the Jews? Why is that the only sad thing that anyone could ever do to another group of people? Why is it not for what happened on this Island, what happened on this soil? A couple of weeks ago there were some white people talking about the Holocaust in Europe, how sad it was, the long march in the cold weather, and how many people died. Why don't they talk about the Trail of Tears, or any of those long walks that our people had to do, leaving our own land to go to another that we weren't meant for? Why don't they talk about how the troops would hit our elders in the face with the butt of a gun if they fell, or just left them there to die alone and if someone tried to help they would be beaten? So many questions that I have but can all this be summarized into just one answer? I think we all know it.

You're welcome Homalosa. I also can remember our first powwows.com contact was on the negative side but we communicated and found out that our views may not have been in sync but we appreciated each other for being at face value. Not hiding behind or cringing behind an alias.

I know what you mean. It's funny on the Internet. So many of us have strong views about things and since we're in a virtual cyber world, tone of voice is hard to hear. The minute we realize who people are in the "real world" it's easier to see where people are coming from. But, as we see, the 'net also affords some people the convenience of sharing their true views, no matter how offensive, under the guise of a screen name and avatar.

Now this is what terrorism is all about. I remember watching old cowboy movies and I remember being terrified seeing native Americans shot dead right in front of my television eyes. I'm back to the topic so I won't be scolded for going off on a tangent.
