    Thursday, January 29, 2004

An Alaska Native high school senior has organized the first Junior Native Youth Olympics in her hometown of Fairbanks.

The event will be held Saturday and will include several traditional competitions, such as the seal hop, high kick, wrist carry and Indian stick pull.

The World Eskimo-Indian Olympics is sponsoring the games. The Olympics is held every year in Fairbanks and will take place July 16-19.
