Man, you guys are funny... I give people crap all the time about that "car name" thing, I guess I missed where the humor started and I got defensive...

And that Aztec "SUV" is particularly bad. I worked on the ORIGINAL design used in the autoshow "concept car" phase, and it was BAD (as in good). By the time it was released, everybody thought GM was just trying to polish a turd... And then, to say the name was "honorable", well, that's just too much!

It'd been a long day I guess... I'll try to see the humor better guys!

                      • Indian population

There is only about 250,000 full bloods in the United States.
Then there is about 1.1 million mixbloods who are registered to a native tribe.
Then there are about 1 million mixbloods not registered to a tribe who identify as native on the census bureau.

This makes up the total of 2.4 million indians in the US.

Then there are 8-14 million mixbloods who dont want anything at all to do with their native ancestry and who now live only as white people.

                        • My opinion is that i'm all for keepin natives BROWN...

I'll be pushin for my 2 girlz to marry someone either from their father's or my ppl. There's not gonna be any non ndn nlaws for this brown ndn woman... lol.

I'm full di'ne and just moved back from OK to AZ. I still wonder bout some of the ppls there claimin ndn when they were light as day.

As for the Di'ne blood quantum... keep at 1/4. There's no need for anything lower.

Firstly, I'd like to just point out to the zealous masses that have cited "grass roots" Navajos as the ones who voted down gaming.

True, they did. But, I don't think the gaming commission pushed hard enough...

Smoking and chewing tobacco in public places on the Navajo Nation remains legal after tribal lawmakers failed to override a veto of a bill that would have banned it.
