        Oh, I understand what you're saying.

        Perhaps if Natives were an ever-growing and culturally-defined medium, worth about 15% of the vote in 10-15 states, candidates would act differently?

        Oh, wait: that's far too "untraditional" and/or "assimilist."

          First off, you guys are basing your opinions on a press release, not a journalistic news article. I didn't read in the release where Clinton was contacted for comment...did I miss it or was it not there?

          I'd be curious to see why she turned down the offer? Is she speaking at other Indian events?

          I'm not a supporter of Clinton or Obama, but I do feel anyone has the right to answer and be heard on an issue and it doesn't seem Clinton was in this case. Just another way of looking at it.

              the last couple of elections were decided by a very slim margin. if every tribal member who coudl vote did. it would have an impact.
              (course that's just me being an idealist)
