The Kickapoo-Sac and Fox tribal partnership has withdrawn its proposal for construction of a $441 million casino.
The unexpected move happened during December, with tribal partnership attorney Ryan Denk telling the Unified Board of Commissioners in Wyandotte County that the tribes were no longer pursuing the casino.
Denk told The Kansas City Star that the proposed casino faced some tough competition from three other proposals for casinos in Kansas City, Kan. The proposals each have submitted developments valued at more than $600 million.
