  • Man faces sentencing for Pine Ridge arson

    Rapid City, South Dakota (AP)

    A Porcupine man faces a maximum sentence of life in prison for setting fire to a trailer house on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

    Daryl Pipe On Head, 20, pleaded guilty in federal court to arson.

    On Jan. 15, 2007, he and another person set fires inside a mobile home at Porcupine that was under renovation, prosecutors said.

    The house was owned by Ramon Bear Runner, according to the indictment.

    Pipe On Head is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 26.
