Former Sisseton Wahpeton College President William Lone Fight is scheduled to stand trial April 21 after being indicted on federal embezzlement charges.
Pam Wynia, the school’s development director, said the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribe put money in escrow to pay off an Internal Revenue Service bill. Lone Fight is accused of failing to pay taxes during the 2005-2006 financial year.
