  • A review of Migrations - New Directions in Native American Art

    Review by Dawn Karima Pettigrew
    News From Indian Country

A dynamic recent release from the University of New Mexico Press celebrates the creativity and talent found throughout Indian Country. Migrations, edited by Marjorie Devon, features the art and the life stories of some of the most innovative artists working and creating today. In conjunction with the Tamarind Institute, the University of New Mexico has dedicated its efforts to preserving and encouraging Native American artistic endeavors. This stunning book displays the results of their collaborative efforts.
