    Pierre, South Dakota (AP)

    A woman was sentenced in a Pierre court to five years in federal prison for child abuse.

    The U.S. attorney’s office said Wendy Veit of Eagle Butte pleaded guilty to abusing a foster child in her custody over a four-month period last year.
