  • Seneca-Cayuga Council vote repeals court

    Grove, Oklahoma (AP)

Members of the Seneca-Cayuga tribe’s General Council have voted to abolish the tribal court, less than a year after it was created, as well as the tribe’s police force.

The tribal council met June 7 as Bureau of Indian Affairs police vehicles circled the Basset Grove Ceremonial Grounds following rumors that the tribal police force might try to stop the meeting.
