On Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, 2008 the Madeline Island Museum will host seven master indigenous artists demonstrating traditional arts and crafts including black ash basketry, porcupine quillwork, birch bark biting, beadwork, birch bark basketry, and pouch making and many will have work for sale. Ojibwe musician, Michael Charette will perform traditional flute music during the weekend as well. This special weekend event is part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Madeline Island Museum.
