  • Water plan released for Lake Coeur d’Alene

    By Nicholas K. Geranios

Preserving the water quality of Lake Coeur d’Alene depends on keeping a century of heavy metals pollution stuck to the bottom, environmental regulators said during June.

Toward that goal, the state of Idaho and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, with a boost from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, released a sweeping lake management plan June 24 that capped years of intense negotiations.
