The Manager of, Lac Court Oreilles (LCO), Landing Resort talks about the events the resort supports, such as the Boys & Girls Club's bake sales, Elders in the community , and the Wednesday night Native American Expo.
The lading Expo is a showcase to show off the many dance styles and different regalia of Native American people, the Expo has local and nonlocal visitors, that dance or watch in the crowd, Becky Taylor, the MC, along with the Woodland dance troop will also be attending every time.
The Expo is about two to three hours long they start out with a grand entry and then go into the different dance categories, they then have intertribals for everyone to join in.they also have three specials, the swan dance, the Fish dance and the feather dance (just for the kids).
This is the Landing's 3rd year of holding the expo, the expo goes throughout the summer from June 11 to August 13 every Wednesday evening at 7pm.
