    The Sovereign Cherokee Nation Tejas has been awarded more than $22 million in damages in its lawsuit against the group’s former attorney general, Dallas lawyer Frank Hernandez.

    The group sued Hernandez in 2005 after plans failed for a Indian casino to be built east of Terrell.
