A regional Bureau of Indian Affairs official says the federal agency has no authority to stop demolition of historical buildings on the Santa Fe Indian School campus.
State Historic Preservation Director Katherine Slick had asked the BIA why it had no authority to stop the demolition under federal historical preservation laws.
