  • Niizhoo Sullivan jams out a Midnite Express song

    Reserve, Wisconsin (LCOTV) 9-08

Here we watch Niizhoo Sullivan of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe reservation of Northern Wisconsin jamming out at the 2008 LCO Royalty Pageant. Midnite Express song.

The event held at the LCO Honor The Earth Powwow grounds this summer highlighted the youth of the reservation as they competed to represent the tribe for the next year.

His father, a member of the Pipestone Drum has provided the guidance for Niizhoo to learn how to sing by taking him to many powwows. The Pipestone Drum and its members sit in the background of this digital production.
