  • Big Horn County sheriff to face recall election

    Billings, Montana (AP)

    Big Horn County residents trying to oust Sheriff Lawrence “Pete” Big Hair submitted enough signatures by Sept.26 to hold a special recall election.

    Organizers began the petition drive July 3 and had until Sept. 30, to gather 1,155 signatures of county voters. By Sept. 26, they had gathered 1,157 signatures, County Clerk and Recorder Cyndy Maxwell said.
