  • State to host Indian Council conference

    Pierre, South Dakota (AP)

    South Dakota will be a first-time host to the Governors’ Interstate Indian Council conference this month.

    One of the goals of the group is to promote and improve cooperation between states and tribal governments. The council was formed in 1949 and has members from at least 35 states.
