The so-called secretary of state of a group that claimed to be an American Indian tribe is sentenced to one year and one day in prison.
Debra Flynn told a judge Oct. 10 that she realizes the lies the Kaweah Indian Nation told people were wrong. Choking back tears, she said she asks God to forgive her for her disobedience and asks the court to forgive her for her disobedience.
