    Wenatchee, Washington (AP)

    The Yakama tribe plans to spend more than $32 million over the next decade to expand its coho reintroduction program in the Wenatchee and Methow river basins.

    The expansion is funded by the Bonneville Power Administration and Chelan, Douglas and Grant county PUDs.

    The Coquille Tribe celebrated the 20th anniversary of its restoration during June.

    The tribe reinstituted an annual salmon ceremony the year before its 1989 restoration, and a similar salmon dinner highlighted the weekend celebration.
