A ballot measure that would allow a single casino in southwest Ohio would not bring a bevy of Indian gambling halls, experts and state officials say in an attempt to quell some voters’ fears.
The odds are long that Ohio would face a rush of Indian casinos if Issue 6 is passed on Nov. 4. But, like the high-stakes gambling it would authorize in Wilmington, there is always the off-chance the measure would persuade Native Americans to flock to the state, experts say.
