Voters in the tribal election for the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokees have opted to keep their chief and assistant chief.
George Wickliffe received more than 59 percent of the vote in the Nov. 3rd election for tribal chief, while incumbent Assistant Chief Charles Locust also will keep his job with the Oklahoma-based tribe.
