New Mexico’s voters split along familiar ethnic and racial lines in this year’s presidential race but those divisions in the electorate played a significant role in the outcome.
An overwhelming majority of Democrat Barack Obama’s supporters in New Mexico were Hispanic, American Indian and African American, according to an exit poll of New Mexico voters.
