Government grants totaling about $150,000 have been awarded to help officials on two Montana reservations meet federally mandated requirements for registration of sex offenders.
A program within the U.S. Justice Department awarded $91,454 for work on the Northern Cheyenne reservation. A grant of about $59,000 is for compliance efforts on the Fort Peck reservation.
