Belcourt man pleads guilty to assault

Fargo, North Dakota (AP)

A man accused of punching a federal police officer in the face has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Scott Stewart of Belcourt was charged with assaulting and resisting a federal officer. He faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
