Two Mashpee Wampanoag tribe leaders have been placed on paid administrative leave while the council investigates possible violations of their fiduciary responsibilities.
Tribal council member Aaron Tobey said during January that Shawn Hendricks, the Mashpee Wampanoag chairman, and tribal secretary, Desire Hendricks Moreno, were placed on leave during an emergency meeting of the tribal council.
