An Eskimo Dance Group from Barrow, Alaska led by 80-year-old elder Warren Matumeak, will be one of two groups from Alaska marching in the Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington, DC, on Jan. 20.
Rex A. Okakok, Sr., of Barrow, who sought the invitation for the Suurimmaanitchuat Dance Group to perform, said those participating are very pleased and excited to be part of the new President’s celebration.
