  • Jabbing Muskie on the Chippewa Flowage at Lac Courte Oreilles

    by Nick Vander Puy
    Reserve, Wisconsin (LCOTV)

Several days a week Al Miller from New Post spearfishes on the Chippewa Flowage. He sits in a wood heated, darkened shack, jigging a hand carved decoy, his spear at his side, waiting for a fish to show interest.

Just as an Alberta Clipper cold front was bringing frigid weather down from the northwest, Miller connected with a large musky.

When this video was being filmed Miller was still shaking from the tussle.

Producer Nick Vander Puy from LCO TV happened upon the scene.

    "Food, food, I love fish!"
