Some were surprised, others expressed caution and still others can’t wait for a planned tribal casino in Glendale near the home of the Arizona Cardinals.
Count city of Glendale officials among those who were most surprised when the Tohono O’odham Nation announced it wants to build a “Las Vegas-style” resort and casino near the city’s sports and entertainment district. That’s because the city doesn’t have an Indian reservation nearby.
