Lawyers and lobbyists topped the list of industry groups that donated money to political campaigns in 2008, according to campaign reports submitted to the Ethics Commission.
Along with the oil and gas industry, attorneys and lobbyists contributed nearly $3.7 million, or 20 cents of every dollar, to the various campaigns, the Tulsa World reported. In all, donations totaled about $19 million.
