A Colorado legislator is asking state and federal officials to help resolve a decades-old dispute over pollution from a power plant on American Indian land, saying he’s tired of the mustard-colored cloud that blankets the area.
Rep. Scott Tipton, a Republican from Cortez, said March 10 Colorado doesn’t get electricity from the Four Corners Power Plant on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico but has to contend with its emissions.
