A Montana police chief has been charged with eight felony counts related to the killings of four moose on the Fort Peck Reservation.
Poplar Police Chief Chad Hilde was charged in Roosevelt County District Court on March 11 with four counts of unlawful possession of a game animal. He also faces four counts of solicitation, which occurs when someone “commands, encourages, or facilitates the commission” of a crime.
