Released on January 20th in time for the inauguration and their performances at the American Indian Society Ball, Bitter Tears – Sacred Ground is a new release from Michael Bucher and Joanne Shenandoah on Hondo Mesa Records. It contains 13 songs and takes the listener on a unique musical journey through Native history.
While honoring Johnny Cash, Peter La Farge and Floyd Red Crow Westerman, 5 songs are redone from the landmark Johnny Cash’ 1964 album Bitter Tears which through the decades has created its own legacy in Indian Country.
