The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan has begun the process of removing some members who don’t meet the tribe’s requirements for membership.
The tribal council voted 6-5 during March to begin the process of disenrolling members whose lineage is not correctly traced to the tribe’s historical rolls.
