Texas casino bills to get committee hearing

Casino gambling bills proposed in the Texas House of Representatives are moving closer to getting a public hearing in a legislative committee.

The House Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee heard from supporters and opponents April 1, over bills that would allow Las Vegas-style resort casinos in Texas and video slot machines at horse and dog race tracks.
