A South Dakota native and Rosebud Sioux tribal member, Dr. Yvette Roubideaux appeared April 23 before a U.S. Senate committee in Washington as the president’s nominee to run the Indian Health Service.
Sen. Tim Johnson told the Senate Indian Affairs Committee that Roubideaux is committed to improving health care in Indian Country.
