A man allegedly shot by a tribal police officer in northeast South Dakota was identified by the county sheriff as Richard Bissonette, of Enemy Swim.
Day County Sheriff Barry Hillestad said in a release that Bissonette died at a hospital. He was believed to be in his early 20s.
