Twenty five years after the last Joint Council held at Red Clay State Park, the Tribal Councils of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the Cherokee Nation met during April.
The 25th Anniversary Joint Council tackled many issues affecting Cherokee people today from the state-recognition of tribes to the proposed airport expansion in Macon County.
