May 20A Hays man convicted of accountability in the November 2006 murder of a North Dakota man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison.
James J. Main Jr. was sentenced by District Judge E. Wayne Phillips in the death of Lloyd Kvelstad, 38, of Minot, N.D. Phillips did not place any restrictions on Main’s eligibility for parole. With the 21/2 years he has been jailed while awaiting trial and sentencing, Main would be eligible for parole in 121/2 years.
