Alaska’s suicide rate is showing no signs of diminishing.
Preliminary numbers from the state Bureau of Vital Statistics indicate that the Alaska rate of 24.6 suicides per 100,000 people last year was the highest in more than a decade and a 25 percent increase since 2005.
