A former Navajo Housing Authority chief executive accused of accepting gambling chips from a construction company in exchange for $38 million worth of federal housing contracts and the firm’s owner have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Nevada.
U.S. Attorney in Nevada Greg Brower said 52-year-old Chester Carl of Gallup and 66-year-old William Aubrey of Mesquite, Nev., face charges of bribery and conspiracy to commit bribery.
