The Nez Perce Tribe says it’s losing faith in the University of Idaho Caine Veterinary Teaching Center’s credibility in testing and analyzing tissue from bighorn and domestic sheep.
Marie Bulgin, the Caine center’s coordinator in Caldwell, is embroiled in a controversy because she’s long denied deadly diseases can be transmitted from domestics to bighorns on the open range – even though her laboratory had evidence to the contrary since 1994.
