Gov. Dave Freudenthal’s recommended state budget cuts include an $800,000 funding reduction for Wyoming’s only U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs school.
St. Stephens Indian School on the Wind River Reservation has been scheduled to get $2 million from the state over the next two years starting July 1. The idea is to supplement the school’s federal funding.
