An appeals court during June refused to reinstate the Oglala Sioux Tribe’s lawsuit that sought to prevent the federal government from transferring thousands of acres of land along the Missouri River to the state.
In a 2-1 ruling, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld a lower court’s dismissal of the tribe’s lawsuit.
